Obituary - With particular regret do we announce the death of Mrs T R Dawson, which sad event took place at 3 a.m. yesterday morning. Mr Dawson's death was attended by unusually sorrowful circumstances. With the tender solicitude of the true wife, she had nursed her husband when he was recently stricken with pneumonia, and, weakened by the strain on her constitution, finally contracted from him the fell malady herself. The husband recovered, but the wife has died. A more pathetic example of self-sacrifice could not be imagined. Mrs Dawson was 51 years of age, and in addition to her grief stricken husband , leaves three daughters and a son to mourn their mother's death. The eldest member of the family is Mrs R G Roan, of McIntyre Flat, the others being unmarried. The late Mrs Dawson was a Miss Hockley, and was born at Saumarez Ponds. She was married at Duval in 1887. Very great sympathy had been expressed for the bereaved relatives. The funeral takes place to-day at 3 p.m.
